EC man charged with making bomb threats

Eau Claire (WQOW) - Several months after bomb threats are made against the Eau Claire County Courthouse, a suspect is arrested and charged.

Police say two threats were phoned into the 911 dispatch center in mid-December. In both cases emergency dispatchers said it sounded like the caller was using a device to disguise his voice.

Police connected Justin Woody to the crimes after another bomb threat was made last month in his own neighborhood, where homemade plastic bombs had also recently been detonated.

Police say Woody has confessed to the making the threats.
