Man arrested on suspicion of attempted homicide after Eau Claire stabbing

Eau Claire (WQOW)- Police say one man is in custody and another person is in the hospital after a stabbing in Eau Claire Saturday night. 

26-year-old Quentin Roby (Wilson) has been arrested. Police were called to an apartment building on Southridge Court just before 10 p.m. Saturday night.  Police say Roby fled before they arrived and the stabbing victim was taken to a local hospital. That person's condition is not known at this point. 

Police continued to search for Roby and early Sunday morning he was taken into custody.

Press Release from ECPD - On Saturday April 6, 2013, at 9:45 p.m., Eau Claire Police responded to a report of a disturbance with injury at 4631 Southridge Ct. Apt. #5.

Information gathered by responding officers revealed that an argument between two people resulted in a stabbing with one individual sustaining injury. The suspect fled the scene prior to the officer's arrival. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The victim and witnesses identified Quentin A. Roby also known as Quentin A. Wilson, male/black, date of birth 11/05/1986, as the suspect.

Members of the Eau Claire Police Department Detective Division continued investigation and developed information of a possible location for Roby.

On Sunday, April 7, 2013, at 1:30 a.m., ECPD Patrol units and Detectives were able to locate Roby at a residence and he was taken into custody without further incident.
