Boy battling brain cancer makes college football debut

Posted:

LINCOLN, NE (WKOW)-- A 7-year-old boy fighting brain cancer made his college football debut over the weekend.

It was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for Jack Hoffman, who scored a 69 yard touchdown during the Nebraska spring football game.

Hoffman's idol, former Husker Rex Burkhead, says Jack should become Nebraska's new running back.

Jack and his family aren't the only people touched by Jack's journey; the team says Jack is one of their biggest inspirations.
