New Orleans (WQOW) -- Flambeau H.S. grad and former Wisconsin Badger Jim Leonhard signs a free agent contract with the NFL's New Orleans Saints.
Leonhard has always been a guy who's defied the odds. Coming out of Flambeau, Leonhard was a walk-on at Wisconsin, who finished his college career as an All-American.
Then, Leonhard was a non-drafted free agent, but he's turned himself into an NFL veteran. Leonhard has played eight seasons in the NFL with the Bills, Ravens, Jets, and Broncos.
Leonhard's ninth season will be with the New Orleans Saints. That organization announces Monday that they've agreed to a one-year free-agent deal with Leonhard, who played in 16 games with Denver last season, and tied a season career-high with two interceptions.
