Registered sex offender moves to Sawyer County

Sawyer County (Press Release) - In accordance with WI State Statute 301.46(2m), it has been determined that the attached information on William Moore should be released.

On 04/20/1999, Moore was convicted of Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault in Vermillion County, IL.  Moore is a registered sex offender and is required to notify local law enforcement of his address.  Moore has recently moved to Sawyer County and is NOT wanted by the police at this time. This notification is not intended to increase fear; rather, it is our belief that an informed public is a safer public.

Sex Offenders have always lived in our communities; but is was not until the WI Sex Offender Registry and Community Notification Law was enacted that law enforcement was able to share this information with the community. Citizen abuse of this information to threaten, intimidate, or harass registered sex offenders will not be tolerated.

Conviction Dates:        04/20/1999     Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault

Release Date:              Moore is no longer on supervision but is a life time registrant.  Moore is residing at 13367 W Poppletown Road, Town of Bass Lake.

Offense Summary:      Moore attempted sex acts with a five year old female and an eight year old female.
