BROWNSVILLE (WKOW) -- Two people were struck by lightning early Tuesday afternoon.

Dodge County Sheriff's Department says the two were working at Halquist Stone on Lomira Drive in the town of Brownsville.

Authorities say the men were working on a front-end loader when the lightning hit. One victim was taken by EMS to Froedtert Hospital for injuries.  His condition and the extent of his injuries are unknown at this time.  The other victim, who was inside machinery at the time, did not suffer any injuries.

A neighbor of the business says lightning was intense right around the time the men were struck.

Sheriff Pat Ninmann states with the upcoming storm season, everyone should be aware of the possible sudden change in weather and the possibility of lightning that could result from the storm.
