Wisconsin Softball's series against Northern Iowa canceled

MADISON, Wis. -- Poor weather conditions have forced the cancelation of Wisconsin's doubleheader against Northern Iowa on April 10. The games will not be rescheduled.
Wisconsin (28-6 overall, 6-3 Big Ten) will travel to No. 22 Nebraska on April 12-14 for a Big Ten road series before hosting Green Bay on April 16 in a doubleheader at Goodman Diamond starting at 3 p.m.
The Badgers' game against Loyola, originally scheduled for April 17, has also been cancelled due to scheduling conflicts. It will not be rescheduled.
For Wisconsin, the April 16 home opener against Green Bay marks the latest home opener in school history. During the 2001 season, UW opened its season on April 13, while in 2003 the home opener was held on April 11.
UW's 37-game road swing is the second longest in school history. In 2001 UW played its first 38 games away from Madison.
