UPDATE: Flood warning lifted in Eau Claire County

Flood Update 4/12/13: The National Weather Service has lifted the flood warning for Eau Claire County, and only small amounts of rain or snow are being called for over the coming days.

Eau Claire (WQOW) - The waters are rising in Eau Claire. The Chippewa River is close to flood stage.  Right now, it's at around 770 feet. Flood stage is 773. City staff believes the river could crest sometime in the next two days because of the snowstorm. Trails have been closed in some areas already because of flooding. The city is advising everyone to be careful near flood waters, because currents are strong and fast.
