Local Maverick Media radio stations changing owners

MADISON (Press Release) - Mid-West Family Broadcasting is proud to announce it is acquiring the broadcast assets of Maverick Media LLC in the Eau Claire and Rockford, IL markets. This acquisition adds 10 stations to Mid-West Family Broadcasting group.

"We have wanted to grow our company for some time and want to bring the ideals of ‘locally-owned radio' back to these two cities," said Tom Walker, President of Mid-West Management, Inc, a company in the Mid-West Family Broadcasting group. "The stations in both Eau Claire and Rockford will continue serving their local markets with the quality programming Mid-West Family brings to all its stations."

The Local Marketing Agreement (LMA) will begin in several weeks and the purchase will close upon FCC approval.

The stations that will become part of Mid-West Family Broadcasting include:

Eau Claire stations
WAYY-AM
WEAQ-AM
WECL-FM
WIAL-FM
WDRK-FM
WAXX-FM

Rockford stations
WNTA-AM/FM
WRTB-FM
WGFB-FM
WXRX-FM/D-D2

More than 25 owned and operated stations currently fall under the Mid-West Family Broadcasting umbrella in Madison, WI, La Crosse, WI, Springfield, MO, Springfield, IL and St. Joseph/Benton Harbor/South Haven, MI.
