Stabbing in Trempealeau County sends one person to the hospital


Trempealeau Co. (WQOW)- Law enforcement officials in Trempealeau County say one person is custody after an early morning stabbing, another was treated and released at an area hospital. 

Officers were called to a social gathering in rural Blair around 1 a.m. Sunday morning. An altercation led to one person being stabbed. The victim was taken to Tri-County Hospital in Whitehall. The Trempealeau County Sheriff's Office says the injuries are non-life threatening. That person was treated and released.

The suspect was later identified and taken into custody on suspicion of aggravated battery. 



Press Release - The Trempealeau County Sheriff's Office took a report of an altercation which resulted of one person being stabbed at a social gathering in the Town of Preston(rural Blair), County of Trempealeau, WI.  The victim was treated for the stab wounds and released from Tri-County Hospital in Whitehall, WI. The injuries were non-life threatening.  The suspect was later identified and arrested and is currently in the custody of the Trempealeau County Sheriff's Office.

The Independence, Whitehall and Blair Police Departments also assisted in this investigation.
