West Allis man charged with stabbing Capitol police officer

MILWAUKEE (WKOW) -- A West Allis man is now charged with stabbing a Capitol police officer and another man.

25-year-old Jason Jones was charged Monday with attempted first-degree intentional homicide and first-degree recklessly endangering safety.

Capitol police Officer Greg Friberg and his partner responded to a call last Wednesday for someone creating problems in a state office building in Milwaukee.

The criminal complaint says Friberg touched Jones' arm and Jones began yelling, then stabbed Friberg twice in the neck.  Both stab wounds punctured his neck to the spine.

An investigator later recognized Jones as the suspect who attacked another man in a parking lot in March.
