Minors no longer required at UW-Eau Claire

Eau Claire (WQOW)-  UW-Eau Claire has made a major decision.  Students are no longer required to get a minor before graduation.

UW-Eau Claire says students will still be able to get a minor, but it will now be optional instead of mandatory.  The hope is that getting rid of the requirement will get all students out the door in four years.  Prior to this week's decision, UW-Eau Claire had been the only UW-school that still required students get their minor in order to graduate.
