UPDATE: No arrests made in Boston bombings

BOSTON (WKOW) -- Boston Police Department is tweeting that contrary to reports, there is no arrest made in the Boston Marathon bombings.

The FBI is also releasing a statement they do not have a suspect in custody. Here is the release.

ABC news says a senior law official has told them also that no arrest has been made.

BOSTON (WKOW) -- Conflicting reports have surfaced regarding a suspect in the Boston Marathon bombing.

CNN and the Associated Press both report investigators believe they have identified a suspect in the Boston Marathon bombings, and have taken him into custody.

The Associated Press spoke to an official on the condition of anonymity Wednesday. The official was not authorized to divulge details of the investigation.

CNN's John King reports the breakthrough came from analysis of video from a department store near the site of the second explosion. Video from a Boston television station also contributed to the progress. The source asked to remain anonymous but called it a significant development.
