No jail time for man accused of stealing boss' credit card

Posted:

STRUM - An area man accused of using his boss' credit card to rack up thousands of dollars in un-authorized charges will not spend any time in jail.

Michael Skahaug, from Strum, was hired to buy materials and do repairs on rental properties. But he was charged with using the company credit card to buy dozens of items and then immediately pawning them. The losses totalled six thousand dollars.

Tuesday, Skahaug was ordered to do a week of community service. The charge will be dismissed if he doesn't commit any crimes over the next year.
