Update: One killed in rollover crash in Augusta


Eau Claire County (WQOW) - One person has died and another is hospitalized following a rollover crash in Eau Claire County. The Eau Claire County Sheriff's Department says Nicholas Neuenfeldt, of Boyd, died at the scene.  The second occupant was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries. The sheriff's department says neither one of the occupants was wearing a seatbelt. One person was thrown from the vehicle. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.

 On Friday April 19, 2013, at about 3:30 P.M., Eau Claire County Sheriff's Deputies were called to the scene of a one-vehicle crash in the 20900 block of County Trunk Highway N in the Town of Bridge Creek. This location is approximately one mile East of CTH OO.

A Toyota pickup truck with two occupants was involved in the crash.

Nicholas G. Neuenfeldt, 40, of Boyd, died at the scene from injuries sustained in the crash. The second occupant was transported to an area hospital to be treated for injuries.

The cause of the crash is under investigation by the Eau Claire County Sheriff's Office.

The Augusta-Bridge Creek Fire Department, Osseo Ambulance, Eau Claire Fire/Rescue, and the Wisconsin State Patrol also responded to the scene.


Augusta (WQOW) - Police are on the scene of an accident in Augusta. Our reporter says one vehicle is on its side, and multiple emergency responders are helping out. County Road N is blocked off as crews work on the crash. We will post any more information as soon as it's available.
