The City of Madison will be getting jazzy this weekend. The 25th annual Capital City Jazz Fest kicks off on Thursday the 25th, with a special 25th anniversary celebration.
The Capital City Jazz Fest runs through Sunday the 28th.
Linda Marty Schmitz, President of the Madison Jazz Society, stopped by Wake Up Wisconsin to talk about what the festival will offer. April is jazz appreciation month.
Schmitz says jazz offers something for all listeners and is really "toe-tapping" music, that can put you in a great mood.
The festival is at the Madison Quality Inn and Suites on 2969 Cahill Main in Madison/Fitchburg. Featured performers include Banu Gibson's, Hot Jazz, Titan Hot Seven, St. Louis Rivermen and the Jimmy Valentime Quintet with Dave Bennet.
