Middleton banker faces trial on child sex assault charges

MADISON (WKOW) -- A Middleton banker faces trial on child sex assault charges.

49-year old Michael Daniel of Sun Prairie waived his right to a preliminary hearing Monday. A court commissioner entered a not guilty plea for him.

Authorities say Daniel sexually touched one of his children's thirteen year old friends last month, and forced the girl to sexually touch him.

Daniel and his attorney Ian Pitz both declined comment to 27 News Monday.

Daniel's bail conditions bar him from contact with the victim.

A court commissioner Monday stated Daniel could attend the upcoming, school graduation of one of his children, as long as Daniel made no contact with the victim.

Daniel's looming trial is on two felony charges of second degree sexual assault of a child under the age of sixteen.

Daniel is listed as a business banker with Starion Bank.
