MILWAUKEE (WKOW) -- Governor Scott Walker says he's still planning to ask for more than $181 million for the University of Wisconsin system, even though a new report shows a big tuition surplus.
Walker says much of the money he's including in his budget plan is for economic development initiatives that he considers essential.
But he also says the surplus should allow the UW system to freeze or even cut tuition, and he'll push for that to happen.
