Mother Nature causing more work for area campgrounds

Posted:

Chippewa Falls (WQOW)- There's less snow on the ground, but still concerns about campgrounds.

Many parts of O'Neil Creek Campground in Chippewa Falls are under water and frost concerns have kept the water from being turned on.  The campground opened last week.  The owner said crews will be busy.

"It will be a lot of work," laughs O'Neil Creek Campground Owner Geri Walter.  "People will want to be camping and yet our groundskeepers are going to want to be buzzing around and taking care of their work so it's going to be challenging; that's for sure."

Walter hopes it won't be long before water service is activated.
