Midwest flooding reaching record levels

MIDWEST (WKOW) -- Even though we've had some flooding in Wisconsin this spring, it's nothing compared to what has hit places like Fargo, Grand Rapids and Chicago.

All of those cities are in some stage of flood alert Tuesday, with predictions that water levels will break records set back in the historic floods of 2008.

About four dozen counties in Illinois have been declared state disaster areas.

And, besides more rain in the forecast for the Dakotas and Minnesota, the deep, spring snowpack they've received will also be melting, and causing even more flooding.
