Purple Stride event aims to end pancreatic cancer


MADISON (WKOW) -- Families affected by pancreatic cancer are hoping their efforts will some day end the deadly disease.

Deb Harman shared the story of her husband Steve with Wake Up Wisconsin viewers. He died of pancreatic cancer three years ago. Click on the video to watch her interview.

Deb's getting involved in the Purple Stride event in Madison, which is Sunday, April 28 at Warner Park. Opening ceremonies start at 8:30 a.m. with the 5K run and two mile family friendly walk kicking off at 9:00 a.m.
