4/26 Daybreak Interview: Cherub Quilt Project

Although each person's grief journey is unique, a concern shared by all is that their child will be forgotten. As bereaved parents and family members we long to keep our child's memory alive and do whatever we can to move their legacy into the future. We look for ways to let others know that our child counted and that they are missed and loved forever.

The Children's Museum of Eau Claire is offering an opportunity for families who grieve the death of their child or infant. It is for bereaved families whose child either did not take that first breath or lived their whole life in 10 short years. Those wishing to participate will pick up materials and directions to create a square at the museum. These squares will be made into a quilt which will be displayed in the museum; a visible commemoration of these young loved ones who have passed beyond our sight, but never beyond our love.
