Walworth Co. man charged in wife's drowning death in Illinois

CHICAGO (WKOW) -- Illinois prosecutors have filed first-degree murder charges against a Wisconsin man in the death of his wife, who drowned in her bathtub in suburban Chicago 13 years ago.

The Cook County State's Attorney's office said Friday, 64-year-old Frank Buschauer was arrested Wednesday near his home in Pell Lake.  He made his first court appearance Friday, where a judge ordered him held without bond.

The arrest came after detectives developed new information about the February 28, 2000, death of 47-year-old Cynthia Hrisco at the couple's South Barrington home.

At the time of Hrisco's death, Buschauer said he may have killed her, but he couldn't remember.  Something he reiterated this week.
