Driver sentenced to prison for Barron County hit and run

Posted:

Barron County (WQOW) - An area truck driver who hit an Amish buggy and fled the scene is going to prison.

Brian Holst, from Chetek, was sentenced to four years behind bars.

Holst was accused of rear-ending the buggy in November, sending a family of five to the hospital.  He was also accused of driving away to another county and intentionally crashing his truck into a guardrail so he could explain to his boss why his truck was damaged.
