Police: 2 trees set on fire with books

MADISON (WKOW) -- Police look for more information after a report of damaged property early Saturday morning.

According to the Madison Police Department, about 1:30 a.m. on Saturday someone doused two evergreen trees, in separate yards, with gasoline and set them on fire.

In the same area, a "take a book, leave a book" stand was also burned. Police say it appears that the suspect or suspects used the books to start the blaze.

Police say the incidents are related. It happened on the 1800 block of Camelot Drive.
