Winners announced in 2013 World-Wide Mustard Competition

MIDDLETON (WKOW) -- The National Mustard Museum in Middleton hosts its "Salute to the Winners" of the 19th Annual World-Wide Mustard Competition.

About 300 entries from as far away as New Zealand and Japan competed in 16 flavor categories. More than 50 judges, including chefs and food writers, tasted and scored the mustards. They judged the competition over a three week period.

On Sunday, the public gets a chance to taste and buy the medal mustards and learn different ways to use mustard.

Barry Levenson, judge coordinator and museum curator, joins Wake Up Wisconsin Weekend to talk about Sunday's events and the winners.

The National Mustard Museum will host a medal presentation in early May.

The event on Sunday runs from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at 7477 Hubbard Avenue in Middleton.
