Rusk County woman accused of shooting another woman at bonfire


Rusk County (WQOW)- A Rusk County woman is behind bars on allegations she shot another woman at a bonfire over the weekend.

Connie Nicholson, from Tony, is being held on $10,000 bond.  She was arrested Friday night for allegedly shooting a woman in the leg.

The sheriff tells WQOW News 18 that the victim, whose name is not being released, is now out of the hospital.  He says it happened during a gathering at a trailer park in Glen Flora.  The sheriff says they don't know the motive, but he says alcohol was a factor. The district attorney's office says charges are expected to be filed this week against Nicholson.
