UPDATE: Pedestrian critically hurt in Verona Rd. crash


MADISON (WKOW) -- Police say a 45-year-old man was taken to the hospital after a crash Tuesday night.

Just before 10 p.m., officers say the man ran into the roadway on Verona Rd. near Raymond Rd. and was hit by a car.

The pedestrian was taken to the hospital, where he was initially listed in critical condition.

Police say there is no evidence the driver of the car was impaired. No citations were issued.

Officers say the pedestrian is a 45-year-old man from Chicago, but his name has not been released.


MADISON (WKOW) -- Authorities are investigating a reported crash between a vehicle and a pedestrian on the city's west side.

Before 10:00 p.m. Tuesday, the Dane County Communications Center received calls about the accident at the intersection of Verona Rd. and Raymond Rd. Multiple police, fire department and emergency medical service vehicles are currently at the scene.

The Madison Police Department confirmed it was investigating a crash at the intersection, but declined to give any details.
