WAUKESHA (WKOW) -- The Waukesha man suspected in a triple homicide is now accused of making threats at a Waukesha animal shelter just days before the murders.

Investigators say 31-year-old Jaren Kuester killed three people in Lafayette County over the weekend.

Workers at the Human Animal Welfare Society of Waukesha County, or HAWS, say Kuester came in on Thursday and was confused and belligerent. They say Kuester was looking for his dead dog which he brought there weeks ago after it was hit by a car.

Workers called police and that's when Kuester allegedly threatened staff members and then left. HAWS officials say Kuester later came back and police arrested him. Kuester spent the night at the Waukesha County Jail, but was bailed out Friday.

Authorities in Lafayette County say charges could be filed next week against Kuester. They say the investigation is taking a while because of the massive amounts of evidence to comb through.
