4-year-old shot in Milwaukee


MILWAUKEE (WKOW) – Milwaukee police are searching for a person who shot a 4-year-old boy late Tuesday night.

According to our affiliate, WISN-TV, authorities say the shooting happened around 10:15 p.m. near 40th and Burleigh streets.

WISN-TV reports that police say the young boy was playing with his siblings in front of their home, when a person fired in their direction.  The shooter took off running from the scene.

WISN-TV says the investigators have not released the 4-year-old's condition, but expect him to survive.
