Man spotted near Madison on FBI most wanted list


FITCHBURG (WKOW) -- FBI officials confirm the suspect authorities are searching for in Fitchburg is one of FBI's Most Wanted, Paris Poe.

Dane County Communications earlier sent an alert to nearly 30,000 people in Fitchburg to alert them of a dangerous person in the area.

Poe was last seen at the Country Inn & Suites at 6275 Nesbitt Road. He is believed to be on foot. The FBI says that Poe is considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone coming in contact with Poe is urged to avoid him and call 911 immediately. The description on the FBI's website states Poe has a tattoo that reads "Chief Hobo" on his upper right arm and another reading "RIP Angie" on his upper left arm.

On April 17, 2013, Poe was charged federally in the United States District Court, Northern District of Illinois, Eastern Division with unlawful flight to avoid confinement, and a federal warrant was issued for his arrest.

Poe should be considered armed and dangerous.


FITCHBURG (WKOW) -- FBI and approximately a half dozen armed officers in swat gear are now on the corner of Nesbitt and Fitchrona, searching for an "extremely dangerous" suspect.

Dane County Communications sent an alert to approximately 30,000 people in Fitchburg, over a three mile radius, to notify them of a dangerous person in the area.

Some businesses in the area, including the Fitchburg Veterinary Hospital, have been told to keep their doors locked and no one is allowed to come in or go out at this time.

Again, the dangerous suspect is described as a black male with dreadlocks, he's approximately 6' and 200 pounds, 30-35 years of age and was last seen wearing a black jacket and jeans. He is believed to be on foot.
