UPDATE: Domestic disturbance leads to local school lock down

Fall Creek (Press Release) - UPDATE: As a result of the incident on May 2, 2013 in the Village of Fall Creek, Jason T. Belknap, 28, was arrested and is scheduled to appear in court on May 6, 2013, for domestic abuse related charges among others.

Fall Creek (Press Release) - On May 2, 2013, at approximately 12:35 p.m., the Fall Creek Police Department responded to a domestic disturbance in the Village of Fall Creek.

Upon arrival of the first officer there was a report of possible shots fired. A perimeter was set up and traffic was detoured.

The Fall Creek School District was scheduled to release students at 1 p.m. so as a precaution the school was placed in lock down. A male subject was taken into custody and the scene was rendered safe. The school was notified and the lock down was lifted.

The Fall Creek Police Department was assisted by members of the Eau Claire Sheriff's Department, Eau Claire Combined Tactical Team, Fall Creek Rescue, and Eau Claire Rescue.
