Eau Claire (WQOW) - Across the country, law enforcement officers put their lives on the line every day. A documentary is giving us another perspective from one from these officers.

Friday, WQOW News 18 was given a sneak peek of "Heroes Behind the Badge", a film that tells the harrowing stories of officers who were caught in the line of fire. It's been shown all over the country and is being brought to Eau Claire for one night this month.  It features the story of a Wisconsin officer who was seriously wounded responding to a domestic incident in Fond du Lac.  Recently, we interviewed him about his role in the film.

"They liked Fond du Lac's story because it was Anytown USA, basically.  This can happen anywhere. It was a great experience to be able to do it and be a part of it and the fact that maybe someone will hear my story and will help them on the road is just a great feeling," says Officer Ryan Williams with the Fond du Lac Police Department.

"Heroes Behind the Badge" will be shown on Tuesday night, May 14th at Micon Cinemas in Eau Claire.  Tickets are $10 in advance, $15 at the door.  100% of tickets sales will be donated to law enforcement memorial funds.  The ticket price includes a cookout that begins at 5 p.m.
