Posted:

Eau Claire (WQOW) - Police are still searching for the vehicle that left an Eau Claire man seriously injured. The hit and run happened Friday night around 9 p-m on the 26 hundred block of Seymour Road.

Police say 23 year old Zachary Kerska was walking westbound when he was hit from behind. They say he is in a coma, but in stable condition Saturday night.

Police are looking for a vehicle that has damage to its right side, but at this point, have no clear description beyond that.  They say they are looking at video cameras from nearby businesses to piece together what happened.

Police say there was a witness who saw Kerska walking on the sidewalk, heard a noise, and found him lying in the road. They aren't sure whether he was crossing the street when it happened.

Police were on scene into the morning reconstructing the crash.
