Bringing awareness to children's mental health

Posted:

MADISON (WKOW) -- Mental health is sometimes hard to talk about, especially when it comes to children.

Community Partnerships Incorporated is promoting Children's Mental Health Awareness Month with two events. The organization has been working to help kids with mental illness for more than 13 years.

The first event is a poster contest with the theme "My Feelings Matter." An event honoring the poster contest winners is Thursday May 9 from 1:00 - 2:30 p.m. at the Rotunda Stage of the Overture Center.

The second event is the annual Circle of Hope. This fundraiser helps pay for programs Community Partnerships, Inc. operates. The event is Thursday May 16 from 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. at the Goodman Community Center. For more information, head to this website or call (608) 250-6634.
