Students found guilty in deer thrill kill

Posted:

Bloomer (WQOW)- Seven students from the Bloomer area won't be allowed to hunt or fish for the next two years.

That's part of the penalty for the boys who were found guilty of illegally killing deer for the thrill of it. The boys range in age from 14 to 17.  They were accused of shining and shooting deer at night and leaving them in the woods. DNR wardens believe around a dozen deer were killed.  In addition to losing all DNR privileges, each boy was also fined more than $400.
