MADISON (WKOW) -- Madison fire officials say the fire outside Randall Elementary School last week left the word"PROM" spelled on the school playground.
Madison Fire says it is still investigating the cause of the fire, and the department is releasing additional details in hopes of gathering more information from neighbors and witnesses.
A release from the Madison Fire Department on Tuesday says crews that responded to 1802 Regent Street early on the morning of May 2 found an area of heavy fire approximately 30 feet by 50 feet.
Previous information released the day of the fire said the burned area was on the school's playground, and that tire chips on the surface of the playground helped contribute to the spread of the fire.
Anyone with information about this fire is urged to contact Madison Area Crime Stoppers at (608) 266-6014. You don't have to give your name.
