Program to measure appliance electricity use expanding

Posted:

Western Wisconsin (WQOW) - A program that helps you determine how much electricity your appliances are using is expanding in Wisconsin.

Xcel Energy provides meters that you can check out from area libraries. The devices can be plugged into appliances and will display the energy use in watts and in dollars.

The devices have been available at many local libraries for several years now. New to the list this year are libraries in Baldwin, Barron, Fall Creek, Durand, Ladysmith and River Falls.
