WAUSAU (WKOW) – The body of a woman missing for more than two months has been found in the Mississippi River in St. Paul.

St. Paul police identified the woman as 30-year-old Kira Trevino.  The D.C. Everest graduate went missing on February 21 from her home in Minnesota.

Authorities say shortly after she went missing, her husband, 39-year-old Jeffery Trevino, was arrested and is now charged with her murder.

Jeffery Trevino's trial is schedule for the end of the month.

Many people helped search for Kira and even lit candles in her memory.  Her parents say the support from the community was crucial.

Jay Steger, Kira's father, says, "What kept me together through this was the searches and the people that came out and helped.  I've actually made a lot of good friends."

Now the family moves on to the next chapter as they learn to cope with the loss of Kira.

Kira's parents say funeral services have not been set.
