Former Mega employee charged with theft

Posted:

Eau Claire (WQOW) - An employee at a local convenience store is accused of pocketing cash instead of putting it in the till.

Kristen Eskew of Eau Claire worked at the Mega Holiday at Clairemont and Cameron. The store manager told police that after a customer paid their bill, Eskew would void the transaction and keep the cash.

Police say Eskew confessed to taking hundreds of dollars, saying she did it because she had no money.
