Teen girls busted for attack on Waunakee woman

MADISON (WKOW) -- Two violent and out-of-control teenaged girls attack a 23-year-old woman from Waunakee early Sunday morning.

The victim was leaving a restaurant in the 600 block of S. Whitney Way when a group of teens were approaching the entrance.  She informed them the restaurant was closed.  A suspect then made reference to the woman's race and punched her four or five times in the head.  A second suspect then threw a plastic water bottle at her head and proceeded to deliver several blows to the victim's face.

The group of teens fled when restaurant staff was coming to the victim's aid.  Officers, however, were able to locate the suspects nearby with the help of a restaurant patron.

The suspects, ages 15 and 16, struggled with officers.  One spit in an officer's face and kicked him in the groin.  The other began to spit on the back of a squad car.  Both girls were yelling and using foul language as they repeatedly threatened to kill officers.

The suspects said they had been drinking in the parking lot prior to the incident.
