WI DNR seeking comments on Ice Age Trail route

MADISON (WKOW) -- In Marquette County, state and federal officials want the public's input about landscape features along a new Ice Age Trail.

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and the National Park Service along with the Ice Age Trail Alliance are scheduling three open houses this month that will feature overviews of the county's geology, scenic views and other natural characteristics.

The agencies and the alliance will take into consideration the public's comments on what features to include as they map out potential trail corridors.

The first open house is planned for Saturday in Montello.  The second is scheduled for May 21 in Westfield and the third for May 23 in Endeavor.
