TOWN OF SPRINGFIELD (WKOW) -- A Middleton woman has been booked into the Dane County Jail today on a charge of Attempted Homicide following an early morning stabbing in the Town of Springfield.

Dane County Sheriff's deputies responded to 5000 Pheasant Branch Road at 2:56 a.m and say they found 39-year-old Everado Trinidad Cortez being treated by Middleton EMS.  Cortez was transported to UW Hospital, where he was admitted with life threatening injuries.

After interviewing several witnesses to the events, detectives arrested 33-year-old Teresa Osario Beltran.

TOWN OF SPRINGFIELD (WKOW) -- A man is in the hospital after being stabbed in the neck early Thursday morning.

Authorities responded to the 5000 block of Pheasant Branch Road in the town of Springfield around 3:00 a.m. Police say the victim called 911 after he was stabbed in the neck by a woman. A Dane County dispatcher tells 27 News both live and work on the property.

The man was taken to UW Hospital. The Dane County dispatcher says his injuries are non-life threatening.

No one has been taken into custody yet.
