Packers to visit Wisconsin academy cadets

MADISON (WKOW) – A group of former and current Green Bay Packers is scheduled to visit cadets at the Wisconsin National Guard's Challenge Academy on Friday.

Current Packers Jarrett Bush, Randall Cobb and Alex Green as well as alumni Santana Dotson, Aaron Taylor and Frank Winters will visit the academy as part of the eighth annual Packers Tailgate Tour.  Packers President and CEO Mark Murphy also will be with the group. The Packers Tailgate Tour includes stops in five cities.

The Fort McCoy-based challenge academy is a military-style boot camp open to boys and girls who have dropped out, been expelled or fallen at least a year behind in credits.  The goal of the academy is to help teens earn their high school equivalency diplomas, learn essential life and job skills and become responsible citizens.
