Badger Honor Flight leaves Saturday; Culver's helps cause

MADISON (WKOW) -- The next Badger Honor Flight leaves Saturday for Washington D.C.

The organization takes veterans to the nation's capital to see the national memorials erected in their honor. Badger Honor Flight hopes to again have a large welcome home ceremony at the Dane County Regional Airport Saturday night.

Veterans will take off from the airport Saturday morning and spend the day touring the memorials. They're set to arrive back at the airport just before 10:00 p.m. Anyone wishing to welcome them home should get to the Dane County Airport by about 8:00 p.m. Nearly 6,000 people showed up the last time the Badger Honor Flight brought the vets home.

In addition, Culver's locations throughout Wisconsin and northern Illinois will help the cause. It's donating 10% of all sales on Tuesday, May 21 to Badger Honor Flight.
