UPDATE: Pedestrian hit and killed by semi in parking lot

State Patrol (Press Release) - At 4:09 PM on Friday May 17, 2013 a crash occurred on Wis 95 at Hixton Travel Plaza Parking Lot in JACKSON County near HIXTON.

Assisting agencies included Jackson County Sheriff's Department, Merrillan PD, and Hixton Fire
Dept & 1st Responders.

The crash involved 1 fatality. Vehicle and occupant information, if available, is on attached page(s).

The details of the crash are as follows:

The Wisconsin State Patrol is currently investigating a fatal semi vs pedestrian crash in the Village of Hixton. The crash occurred at approximately 4:07pm in the parking lot of the Hixton Travel Plaza. A semi was pulling into fuel and a pedestrian was walking away from his semi unit when he was struck.

PARTIES INVOLVED
Unit 1: Truck Tractor(Semi Attached) (2007 Peterbilt Tractor)

Driver: Hendrickson, Douglas Allen, 52 Year Old Male From South Haven, MN
Injuries: None

Pedestrian: Augustine, Glenn Michael, 63 Year Old Male From St. Paul, MN
Injuries: Fatal

Jackson County (WQOW) - The Wisconsin State Patrol is investigating a fatal crash in which a pedestrian was hit by a semi in a parking lot.

It happened after 4 p.m. at the Hixton Travel Plaza parking lot in Hixton.  The pedestrian died.  No names have been released.
