Green Bay police rule man's death as a homicide

GREEN BAY (WKOW) -- Green Bay police ruled the death of a 49-year-old man as a homicide.

Last week, the department announced it was investigating a suspicious death of Daniel Kuehl.

Detective Captain Todd Thomas told the Green Bay Press-Gazette that the slaying likely occurred within a week of Kuehl's body being found.

Police aren't releasing many other details at this time, including how Kuehl died.  But they said officers have collected a large amount of evidence.  The evidence is being tested at the State Crime Lab.

In a statement, police said Kuehl was described as a kind man who was very private. Police ask anyone who has been in his apartment in the last few months to contact them.

No arrests have been made.
