MADISON (WKOW) -- The Madison College baseball team earned a trip to Sunday's NJCAA Region IV Tournament championship game, after beating Kankakee Community College in the semifinals 12-4. The Cavaliers took and early 2-0 lead on the Wolfpack in the second inning, but Madison College answered with three runs in the bottom half to take the lead. Kankakee went up 4-3 in the 3rd, but the Wolfpack scored the next nine runs to win 12-4 in a seven inning run-rule.
Madison College will once again face Kankakee on Sunday at noon for the championship. The Cavaliers must beat the Wolfpack twice to prevent Madison College from advancing to the NJCAA World Series for the fourth year in a row.
