Madison College baseball headed to NJCAA World Series with 3-1 win


MADISON (WKOW) -- For the fourth time in four seasons the Madison College baseball team is headed to the National Junior College World Series in Enid, OK. The Wolfpack earned the trip after defeating Kankakee Community College 3-1 in the Region IV Tournament championship game. Madison College was down 1-o into the 7th inning, but Rex Morrow dropped down a bunt single, scoring Madison La Follette grad Taylor Carlson to tie the game.

An inning later with two men on, Carlson hit a two RBI single to right, giving the Wolfpack a 3-1 lead. Cody Peterson closed out the 9th, as Madison College earned the victory. The Wolfpack will travel to Enid, OK Wednesday, as tournament play begins Saturday May 25.
