SLIDESHOW: Church holds ribbon cutting nearly two years after arson destroys former building

Hillsdale (WQOW) - More than 2 years after an arson fire destroyed a Barron County church, members now have a new house of worship.

The fire in 2010 destroyed the New Scandinavia Lutheran Church in Hillsdale. The church was 135 years old. Two young men went to jail for starting the fire.

On Sunday, the congregation celebrated their new church with a ribbon cutting. The first church service was also held Sunday.

The new building cost close to $1 million. It includes stained glass and antique lamps that were saved from the burned building.
